Uniform Guide

For those new to scouting , the blank blue shirt your Cub Scout has may have you confused as to what goes where with the various patches. Here are some guides as to where to put them on the uniform.
Where To Get Uniforms
There
are two places in the area to pick up uniforms and other scouting
supplies such as handbooks. The closest is The Outside World in
Dawsonville located on GA 400 just south of the Outlet Mall. The
other is the council store located on Hwy 129 in Pendergrass just
before I-85.
Left Pocket
The left pocket is where the ranks your son will be earning
go. The square knot awards are placed along the top of the pocket.

Right Pocket
The
right pocket is where the bead holders for Tigers, Wolves and
Bears are hung from. The Recruiter patch is also placed here if
your scout recruits another boy to join Cub Scouts.
Left & Right Sleeves
The
left sleeve is where the council strip and pack number go. The
right sleeve has the American flag, den number and quality unit
patches.
Neckerchief
- Fold the long edge over several small flat folds to
about 6 inches from the tip of the neckerchief. A tight fold
prevents gathering around the neck and is more efficient
than rolling or twirling.
- Place around the neck over turned-under collar of
uniform shirt. Or, wear under shirt collar if desired.
- Draw neckerchief slide over ends and adjust to fit
snugly. Let neckerchief ends hang loose.
- The portion of the neckerchief showing below the back of the neck should measure no more than 6 inches.
